Frank Leboeuf has suggested Juventus should steer away from signing Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic this summer.

Christian Pulisic, 24, is out of contract with Chelsea at the end of next season, which is why it’s no real surprise he’s currently linked with a potential move in the upcoming transfer window.

ESPN claimed this week that Italian giants Juventus are currently frontrunners in the race to sign Pulisic this summer. They add that Chelsea are prepared to sell their United States international for around £20million.

Leboeuf has sent a warning to Juventus about Pulisic after hearing the latest transfer rumours. He suggests a move to Turin could be great for the Chelsea attacker, though.

When discussing Pulisic on ESPN, Leboeuf said: “He had problems at Dortmund. He came to Chelsea and had quite a good start, but after that, it was so-so.

“I think he’s very lucky to go to Juventus. If he has the possibility to go there, go there! I’m not sure I would take that choice if I were the chairman of Juventus.

For Pulisic, he needs this fresh start to try get his career back on track.

The American winger’s Chelsea spell has gone extremely stale lately, especially in a 2022/23 season where he scored just once.

He reminded everyone at the recent World Cup the quality he still possesses, so Chelsea should hold some hope of selling him for decent money.

Despite Leboeuf’s assessment, we do think a £20million move is definitely worth the risk this summer for a club like the Juventus. The reward could be massive if he does kick on and fulfil his potential in Serie A.
