The past few weeks at Chelsea have been far from ideal, and the latest result against Bournemouth will only add to their woes.
After a disappointing 2-2 draw, Chelsea fans are unhappy with the current state of their season.
That was driven home by the scenes at full-time, when boos emanated from the Stamford Bridge crowd.
And they’re not the only ones. Gary Neville has added his own criticism after the Blues stumbled yet again.
Chelsea fans not happy with Enzo Maresca…
Gary Neville cites successful teams of the past when identifying the problem with Chelsea
It’s not just about the Bournemouth game. A draw was the fair result given the performances from both sides.
But it ties a bow on another dreadful December run that closely resembles last season’s collapse.
And there’s an obvious reason for this according to Neville — one that Chelsea fans will easily recognise.
In the latest episode of The Gary Neville Podcast, the United legend explains: “You know, I love the idea of young players playing, but when I think of the Chelsea teams that have won titles, that have won Champions League, they’re probably the most experienced teams you’ll ever see.”

The new ownership have a clear set of priorities when it comes to recruitment, but the question will always be whether they are sacrificing a chance at winning the Premier League.
Neville continues: “The problem is at times when you watch them they do look like they play like a young team and they play like an immature team and like an academy football team.”
To conclude, he says: “It can’t be good, can it, for them? When you draw against Bournemouth at home, it’s not good with the form that Bournemouth are in. So yeah, it sounds like a really bad night for Chelsea.”
Chelsea will be looking at Enzo Maresca
It’s unfortunate, but sacking talk is never far away when it comes to Chelsea.
Even at their most dominant, the Blues have always been ruthless about managers, and specifically, sacking them.
When Chelsea lose or go on a poor run, calls for Maresca’s head are never far away. But what problems would that fix?
Who or what is to blame for Chelsea’s poor form? 📉
Sure, Chelsea fans are often annoyed with decisions made by Maresca, but that’s the case with any manager. The real issues lie in the make-up of the squad, and the distorted priorities of a board more interested in the business side of running a club than the football itself.

Letting him go would be a huge mistake.
