Graeme Souness does not think Raheem Sterling has too many options if he does decide to leave Chelsea before the transfer market shuts.
Raheem Sterling‘s future is up in the air right now after his omission from Chelsea‘s Premier League opener against Manchester City and some damning comments from his manager.
His exclusion resulted in a statement being released by his camp, and Sterling is now being targeted by Juventus.
A move to another country may be something that the winger has to consider, with Souness adamant that he will not get a transfer to another club in England.

Where could Raheem Sterling go?
Sterling did not exactly have an outstanding 2023/24 season. In 31 Premier League appearances, the 29-year-old only managed to score eight goals.
He is also on huge wages, earning £325,000-a-week, according to Spotrac. All in all, then, his options look quite limited.
In fact, Souness can only see Sterling being able to join a club in Saudi Arabia.
Speaking about his future on talkSPORT, the Liverpool legend said: “Where is the market for Raheem Sterling? Saudi Arabia, end of. And the kind of money he would want, he’s not going to get that again in England.
“The kind of transfer fee Chelsea would want, I don’t think there’s going to be anyone in England.”
Former Chelsea player Chris Sutton wasn’t happy with Sterling following the statement released by his people.
What position does Raheem Sterling play?
Sterling can play on the left and the right, but the problem is Chelsea now have plenty of options there.
Christopher Nkunku started on the left flank in the 2-0 defeat against City, while Pedro Neto came on for him in the second half.
Mykhailo Mudryk is also a left winger, while Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke often played on the right for Chelsea last season. Add Joao Felix to the mix now, and Sterling is quite clearly done.
It has been suggested that Felix could play in midfield at Chelsea, but that will still not make space for Sterling in Enzo Maresca‘s team.
A move elsewhere is what is best for the England international. But as Souness highlighted, he probably does not have too many options at this moment in time.
