Graeme Souness has hinted on TalkSport that Chelsea may need to strengthen their side if they are to beat Borussia Dortmund in the knockout stages of the Champions League.
The Round of 16 draw paired the two teams together for the first time in history, as one of a number of exciting looking ties that will be seen after this winter’s World Cup.
The Blues will be going into the break in seemingly a dire run of form domestically.

They are currently four games without a win in the Premier League, and face in form Newcastle in their final match before the break.
However, the same cannot be said for their form in Europe, which has been extremely impressive since Graham Potter came in.
Souness on Chelsea Dortmund
It has been four wins in a row in the competition, including the tricky double header against AC Milan when the pressure was really on.
Souness has claimed though that the Blues may need to invest in a striker in January if they are to comfortably get past the Bundesliga side.
He said: “Chelsea – it really depends where they are at the time. With them, you’re just not sure. They’ve had a good start under Graham Potter, but as I said earlier. They need a centre forward.”

The Blues used Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang up front in a toothless display this weekend against Arsenal.
With him no doubt hungry to impress against his former side, his performance left little to be desired.
There are rumours that the club will bring Christopher Nkunku in this summer, with him again regularly finding the net in a similar manner to last season.
However, RB Leipzig will no doubt be keen to keep hold of him as they prepare for their own Champions League tie with Manchester City.
