Graham Potter last night gave his thoughts on football publicly for the first time really since being sacked as Chelsea manager.
The Englishman was a pundit last night on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, where he gave his thoughts on the weekend’s action.
Two of his former sides took on each other at the weekend, with Chelsea winning 4-2 against Brighton at Stamford Bridge for Enzo Maresca’s first home win of the season.

The star of the show was yet again Cole Palmer. His first half four goals made sure the points were staying in West London.
Potter claimed on Sky Sports that he was running out of words to describe the England international.
Graham Potter wowed by Cole Palmer
He said: “He’s been brilliant, hasn’t he? I mean, We will run out of superlatives for him. His technical level is incredibly high and he’s so calm. He can score lots of different goals. If he gets a chance to turn and play forward, he does it. He can find runners. And he also supplements the midfield, adds that extra player that allows them to build up as well.
“What he’s doing is rare amongst any player, I think, no matter where they are from. Like I said, scores all types of goals, can see a killer pass, he can link the player. Top, top player.”
Potter will likely be cursing his luck that he didn’t have Palmer at his disposal when he was in charge at Chelsea, with his time here not even lasting a season.
Potter yet to return to management
The Englishman is yet to return to management, despite being linked to a number of top jobs around Europe.
While things didn’t work out for him at Chelsea, there is no doubt still a quality manager there who can go on to do achieve a lot in the game.
The Blues will be feeling pretty pleased with who they have in charge right now though, with Maresca enjoying a very strong start to life in the hotseat.
He will likely be in the running for the September Manager of the Month award, after going unbeaten throughout the fixtures.
