Chelsea loanee Bashir Humphreys was part of a Swansea City side that suffered a crushing defeat last night away at Bournemouth.
Championship side Swansea were thrashed 5-0 by Premier League club Bournemouth in the FA Cup fourth round.
Chelsea sent Bashir Humphreys, who’s just 20, on a season-long loan to Swansea last summer.
The young centre-back has been a regular starter for the Welsh club, making 22 appearances across all competitions so far this campaign.
Unfortunately, he endured one of his toughest nights for the Swans in yesterday’s 5-0 hammering at Bournemouth.

Humphreys, along with most Swansea teammates, was strongly criticised in the media following Thursday night’s cup tie.
The 20-year-old defender really struggled to cope with a first-half onslaught from Bournemouth, particularly from David Brooks. The hosts scored five goals in a crazy opening 45 minutes to progress into the FA Cup fifth round.
Wales Online wrote: “Bashir Humphreys – 4/10. Knew he was in for a long night right from the off and Brooks had him on toast for much of the game. A tough ask for any defender, but he looked poor. Also made a big error in leaving Brooks’ free-kick cross as Kelly took full advantage.”

Humphreys’ levels have dropped off recently in Swansea colours, so we suspect last night’s display won’t do him any favours.
The ball-playing defender does possess star quality and he’s an England Under-21 international.
He’s really got to raise his game in the second half of the campaign, though.
The Independent reported earlier this month that some people at Chelsea believe that Humphreys is already better than Blues first-team star Benoit Badiashile. But we definitely wouldn’t go along with that idea yet.
We’ll continue to keep a close eye on the Blues loanee to watch how he copes with this latest setback, which is all part of the journey for any young player.
It’s important for Chelsea’s upcoming talents to see there’s still a path into Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team squad if you’re good enough. In particular, we’re intrigued to see the make up of the defence next season post-Thiago Silva.
