Bayern Munich fans could get to see their new signing Nicolas Jackson line up alongside Harry Kane against Chelsea on Wednesday.

Bayern take on Chelsea in the Champions League after bringing in Jackson on loan on deadline day.

Jackson had other offers, but the striker was desperate to join the German outfit and got his wish.

He is now set for a swift reunion, with his parent club travelling to the Allianz Arena on Wednesday to face the German champions.

Harry Kane and Nicolas Jackson working together in training

An exciting new partnership at Bayern could be about to be born, as Kane and Jackson have been working closely together in training.

That could be bad news for Chelsea ahead of their Champions League tie against Vincent Kompany’s men.

“If you follow the Premier League, you can see that he has many good attributes,” Kane was quoted as saying by Goal when discussing his new teammate. “He creates a lot of chances. And he’s here to help the team. We’re already working together in training and finishing together.

“I feel he can have a big impact for us this season, with his speed, his movement, and his goals. He’s a great addition for us. I didn’t know him very well. We played against him in the summer [England vs Senegal], and he made a very good impression, he played a really good game.”

The Blues replaced Jackson with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap but will be without the latter after he sustained a hamstring injury just before the international break.

Pedro is not 100% fit after all the travelling he has done with Brazil, but the 23-year-old will be expected to start at the Allianz Arena.

How Nicolas Jackson got on in first Bayern Munich appearance

Jackson made his Bayern debut on Saturday, helping his new side to beat Hamburg 5-0.

The Senegal international did not score, but he did create one chance and manage to have a shot on target.

All in all, Jackson did not do anything spectacular, but it was by no means the worst debut. He will now be hoping to make his first start for Bayern when they welcome Chelsea in Europe’s elite competition.

Jackson’s move to Bayern was an initial loan, but UEFA rules do not prohibit loanees from taking to the field against their parent club.

Roberto Di Matteo thought Chelsea were “harsh” to get rid of Jackson in the summer transfer window. If he feels the same way, Wednesday could be the perfect opportunity for him to gain revenge on the Blues.
