‘He seems to have no clue’… Frank Leboeuf now claims 23-year-old Chelsea man can’t play with his teammates

Frank Leboeuf thinks one Chelsea star is struggling to connect with his teammates on the pitch.

After bringing in so many players over the last few transfer windows, this is an ever-changing Chelsea side.

Simply put, it lacks a real foundation and stability. It is probably one reason why the Blues have struggled so much in the Premier League this season.

Chelsea are currently ninth in the table and look like they will finish there or thereabouts in May.

Their game against Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday, as it always is, is a big one.

Frank Leboeuf claims Chelsea star cannot play with teammates

Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital have only owned Chelsea for about two years now, yet they have already made so many signings, expensive ones as well.

That includes the likes of Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez and Mykhailo Mudryk.

Mudryk has really found it difficult at Chelsea since arriving from Shakhtar Donetsk to the point where Leboeuf does not think he is capable of playing in a team.

Discussing the 23-year-old on ESPN, the Chelsea legend said: “It’s been a while now and it works for his country because he’s been scoring goals with his country, [but] it doesn’t work with Chelsea. He goes fast, but he seems to lose it.

“He seems to have no clue how football can be played together with all his teammates. He has a feeling. Subconsciously, he has something, maybe a gift, but it’s like he never learned to play with his teammates.”

One of Mykhailo Mudryk’s biggest weaknesses

Leboeuf’s assessment of Mudryk is damning, but you can see where the World Cup winner is coming from.

Mudryk can be guilty of just running and not looking up. And when the Ukraine international finally does, he struggles to execute the right pass or hit an accurate shot.

It is one of many things that Mudryk has to work on. If he does not improve there, then his signing is never going to work out. So far, it definitely has not.
