Graham Potter has claimed in his post-match interview with Chelsea that he was impressed with what he saw on the pitch from Joao Felix on his debut for the club.
The Portugal international was looking extremely bright before his first game for his new side came to a premature end as he was sent off just before the hour mark, as the Blues fell to a 2-1 defeat to Fulham.
Potter shifted back to a back three formation last night, as he looked to solve the conundrum of where to start his brand new loan signing.

He seemed to have got that call right though. Felix was impressing despite the Blues conceding in the first half.
His ability to pick up and the ball and attack defenders was something Chelsea fans haven’t seen from their attackers for a long time now.

However, he went from hero to villain as a reckless tackle saw him sent off, with him now set to miss the next three domestic games.
Potter has claimed that although he is frustrated he will be without the 23-year-old for a while, he was impressed with how quickly he put his mark on the Chelsea side.

He said: “He’s a top player. He linked with Kai and Mason well. On another day he’d have scored. It makes it even more frustrating that we’re going to lose him for three games [through suspension].”
The manager will now be forced to head back to the drawing board as he looks to find a solution to his injury woes, with Denis Zakaria seemingly adding his name to a growing list of key players who are not fit.
He will not have long to come to this conclusion, with another London derby just around the corner against Crystal Palace.
