Frank Leboeuf has admitted he would like Chelsea to go and sign Leeds United’s Tyler Adams this summer.
There’s been transfer speculation this week suggesting that Tyler Adams, 24, is a transfer target for Chelsea in this window.
The Daily Mail has claimed that Chelsea are among the clubs to make contact about signing Adams. Incidentally, the Leeds midfielder has a £25million release clause in his deal following the Yorkshire club’s relegation from the Premier League.

ESPN pundit and former Chelsea defender Leboeuf believes that Adams could be a great fit for the Blues. In particular, he massively rates the defensive midfielder’s aggression and personality.
When asked if Adams to Chelsea makes any sense, Leboeuf told ESPN: “Yes, it does because Chelsea needs to fill up the middle of the park.
“Tyler Adams has the character that I love. He’s a warrior, and we need those kinds of players in the middle of the park.”

In our view, Adams would boss the Championship with his eyes closed and he needs a transfer this summer back to the top division.
We definitely think the powerful midfielder could help bolster the Chelsea squad, especially at a time when there’s question marks about the No 6 position. However, we’re not certain the United States captain could come into the Blues line-up and turn everything around from day one.
Jurgen Klopp’s model at Liverpool in recent years has been turning really good midfielders into exceptional ones. We wonder if Pochettino could do something similar with Adams if he got his hands on him.
It definitely feels like the central midfield positions are an area in the Chelsea side still up for grabs.
