Gary Neville has claimed that he is excited about what is to come from Chelsea under new manager Mauricio Pochettino.
He told ‘The Overlap’ that he thinks the Argentine is going to do an outstanding job for Chelsea during his time at the club.
Pochettino was the man selected after a long interview process by the owners as the one to lead them back to where they think they belong at the top end of the table.

Last season saw a broken side continue to plummet under the management of Graham Potter, who they had plans to succeed with for a number of years.
While it is still early days, an unbeaten pre-season under the new boss is certainly a good way to go about getting fans on board.
Neville excited by Pochettino
Neville believes that Pochettino’s track record with younger players puts him in good stead for what is to come at Stamford Bridge.
He said: “I think he’s a class act. At the time when it was Ten Hag or Pochettino at United, I would have said go for him. I think he’ll do an outstanding job at Chelsea. He’s class, he will not carry any deadwood, he’ll get rid of them. If you don’t see that desire that you’re talking about.

“He likes young players, he likes players he can mould, he likes players that do what he’s told them to do.
“He’s done this at Tottenham before where he’s got rid of a squad that’s ageing, got rid of some poor characters. He got rid of them in 6-12 months and turned them into the hardest running team in the country, and he’ll do exactly the same at Chelsea.”
It will be very interesting to see how the Blues match up against fellow top four contenders Liverpool in the first game, even if they are without Christopher Nkunku.
