Graham Potter has shared that Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah has made a really good impression on him so far.
Chalobah, 23, has not started any of Potter’s opening three games in charge as manager.
However, the defender got his opportunity in midweek against AC Milan, coming off the bench during the first-half to replace injured teammate Wesley Fofana.
The centre-back hasn’t played a lot football so far this campaign, so his solid performance at the back deserves a special mention.

Potter impressed by Chalobah
Chelsea’s boss has singled out the Blues defender after his Champions League display against Milan. Also, he’s shared that the youngster has been great within the squad in training.
“Really pleased [with Trevoh Chalobah]. Probably epitomises the group. I think everyone is ready to come in, ready to play and ready to help,” Potter said in his press conference, as quoted by Football London.
“Trevoh has been really professional, hardworking in training and his level has been high and it’s probably a reward of that behaviour that he played well.”
It’s going to be very interesting to see if Chalobah is promoted to the XI today against Wolverhampton Wanderers after his Champions League display at home to Milan.
Potter’s tactical flexibility means he won’t always play with a back three, but he’s still got the options in the squad to use that formation even with Fofana’s injury.

Fabrizio Romano recently claimed that some clubs have already started discussions about trying to sign Chalobah in January.
A decision on his future should at least be put on hold until the New Year.
For now, there is a genuine chance to prove himself and become an important player under Potter.
