Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel delivered a brilliant four-word response in his Friday press conference when asked about the new ownership at Stamford Bridge.

Tuchel was quizzed by a journalist on what kind of attributes he’d like from the new owners.

His response: “Hopefully they love winning”.

This is the sort of character that makes Chelsea supporters love the German boss, who’s been dealing with all the questions about the takeover superbly well in the past coule of weeks.

“I’m ready to play my role and adapt. Let’s see what is coming… We can trust in what we have, the culture of the club,” Tuchel added in today’s press conference.

He’s been speaking ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup quarter-final trip to Championship club Middlesbrough. Incidentally, the Blues learned this morning they have a mouth-watering showdown ahead of them against Real Madrid next month, after the Champions League quarter-final draw was made.

Tuchel’s likely to still be asked about the off-field antics at Stamford Bridge until there is a solution with the ownership.

Thankfully, the deadline for all takeover bids to be submitted is at 9pm tonight.

The Raine Group, who are as US bank overseeing the club’s sale, have reportedly made it clear to investors they want it to be a swift process.

Chelsea owners already own the dream man

For certain, whoever buys the club in the next month doesn’t need to worry about the managerial position.

In fact, they need to go out of their way to make Tuchel happy as he’s doing an exquisite job on the football side of things.

He’s the best thing to happen to the club in a long time.
