Chelsea are looking to part ways with Alejandro Garnacho this summer, and will take encouragement from his view on joining Roma in this transfer window.

The Blues took a chance signing an out-of-favour Garnacho from Manchester United, however he has delivered just one Premier League goal in his season at Stamford Bridge.

Xabi Alonso is keen to bring in a new attacker, but with the Blues not in Europe there is a requirement to sell players this summer before adding to their bloated squad.

Alejandro Garnacho keen on joining Roma this summer

Garnacho is one of those the club are open to getting rid of, and Serie A side Roma have stood out as one of the main candidates to sign him this summer.

Despite their insistence so far on it being a loan move, Garnacho is said to be keen on moving to Roma this summer.

As per Fabrizio Romano: “Alejandro Garnacho, also open to leaving Chelsea as club prepares to sell him in case of permanent deal proposal.

“AS Roma want Garnacho but on initial loan, Chelsea insist on permanent to open doors. Garnacho would be keen on Roma move.”

Chelsea will look to avoid getting stuck in a circle of loan moves, which occurred for the likes of Romelu Lukaku in the past.

Roma tipped to be perfect club for Garnacho

There is clearly talent in Garnacho, however he has been unable to show it at Stamford Bridge and a move away looks best for all parties.

Roma could be one of the best sides for him to join, given their manager is former Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini.

The Serie A club believe Garnacho is perfect for Gasperini as his new attacker, and the feeling of being the main man could be a massive boost for the player’s confidence.

Whatever happens though, it looks as if the Argentine is not in Alonso’s plans ahead of next season, and the manager’s say is getting a significant amount of backing from upstairs now.
