How Armando Broja feels about leaving Chelsea to join Ipswich

Reports today have linked one first team Chelsea player with a move away to a fellow Premier League side.

It has been claimed that Armando Broja is of interest to a newly-promoted side, with talks ongoing between Chelsea and Ipswich Town.

It looks as if there is very little place for the striker at Stamford Bridge this season, and his limited minutes in pre-season suggests Enzo Maresca doesn’t see him sticking around.

Pedro Neto has been handed his number 19 shirt too, with it yet to be known if he is going to even be given an alternative number at the club.

Chelsea are keen on a permanent sale for Broja, however it doesn’t seem as if Ipswich is going to be the place where that happens.

According to journalist Nizaar Kinsella, the academy graduate is not so keen on making a move to the East of England.

He said: “Ipswich Town are interested in Armando Broja. He would be reluctant to accept a move there at this stage with a variety of options inside and outside the Premier League.

“It is likely to run close to deadline day. Chelsea currently prefer to sell him rather than loan him out.”

Ipswich have already done business with Chelsea this summer by signing Omari Hutchinson permanently, after his very successful loan spell there last season.

As far as strikers go at Stamford Bridge, it doesn’t seem as if the Blues are fully done with their business in that market this summer.

Reports have continued to link them to a move for Victor Osimhen from Napoli, with it still looking as if he has no future with the Serie A side.

The Blues will be hoping their interest in fellow outcast Romelu Lukaku could see a deal be struck between the two sides that doesn’t see them spending the big money they were formally told they would have to.
