Journalist Ben Jacobs has shared exactly the fees that are involved with the deal for Borussia Dortmund to sign Ian Maatsen from Chelsea.
He took to Twitter to state that the Blues will receive a fee for the 21-year-old despite the fact the deal is set to be a loan for the rest of the season.
It was reported that Chelsea were looking to sell Maatsen on a permanent basis this window, with him only making one start for the club so far this season.

This is despite him being one of the most impressive players of the pre-season tour of the United States for Mauricio Pochettino, when they went unbeaten against strong opponents.
For whatever reason though, it has not worked out and is now set for a move away, even if it comes after him extending his contract with the club.
However, Jacobs has hinted that the fee coming Chelsea’s way is only in the region of £2m, and the Blues see it as an opportunity to raise his value before hopefully finding a permanent suitor for him.
He said: “No option or obligation in Dortmund’s loan for Ian Maatsen. Chelsea originally wanted an obligation of £30m+. Instead Maatsen has extended his contract. Chelsea feel his value will grow further come summer. Loan fee is around £2m. Feels like a deal that suits all parties.”
There will now be more responsibility on the shoulders of Ben Chilwell and Marc Cucurella to see out the remainder of the campaign.
Both players are currently injured, although the England international has been seen back in first team training in recent weeks.
Currently, Pochettino has elected to start Levi Colwill in that position in recent weeks, and although he looks far more confident in the heart of defence, he has been beginning to look more comfortable there as time has gone on.
