Reports have claimed how Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling reacted last season to being called out in front of his teammates by owner Todd Boehly.
According to The Guardian, the England international had a very particular response to the American stating that he was expecting more from the player.
Sterling was Boehly’s first big addition to the squad after taking over the club, with it clear the direction he was looking for the club to go.

However, it is fair to say that things have not lived quite up to the expectation many had on the former Manchester City man.
This reportedly came to a head following a defeat at home last season to Brighton, where Boehly had personally seen enough failures from his extremely expensive assets.
As he stormed into the changing room, he made a beeline for Sterling and called him out for his performances.
Sterling reacts to Boehly
He went as far as saying that he expected ‘world-class’ displays from the Premier League champion, and had not been impressed with what he has seen.
Now though, reports have stated that the player did not take the owner’s words personally, and in fact came back for the next season in better shape.
It went on to also mention how he has become somewhat of a role model for the younger players at the club, with Cole Palmer in particular being someone he has taken under his wing.
It remains to be seen as to whether Sterling is handed the chance to start the club’s biggest game of the season on Sunday against Liverpool.
The Blues are competing in the EFL Cup final, which will be manager Mauricio Pochettino’s latest opportunity to win at trophy in England.
It will also be the first opportunity for the club to win a trophy since the new owners came in too.
