Reports have claimed that Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has told one of his players to his face that he is world-class.
According to The Telegraph, the incident happened after the club’s loss at home to Brighton last season, with him storming into the dressing room to call out the poor display to the players directly.
The Blues were defeated 2-1 at home in April last season, after Conor Gallagher’s opening goal was the only bright spot of a torrid afternoon at Stamford Bridge.

It seemed in a disappointing campaign that this was the tipping point as far as Boehly was concerned, with this being one of a number of occasions where he entered the changing rooms after the game.
It has now been claimed that the American made a beeline for Raheem Sterling, with him being the clear highest paid player at the club.
It has been reported now that the owner directly referred to the England international as world-class to his face, stating that he had expected more from him in his Chelsea career up to that point.
Boehly told Sterling he was world-class
Fast forward to 10 months later, and there will certainly be some Chelsea supporters who still hold that very opinion of the £50m signing.
He has not been present from the starting team for their last two games, with it resulting in two big wins that could well have kept Mauricio Pochettino in a job.
It remains to be seen if he will be handed an opportunity to prove himself to the manager again tomorrow against his former side, Manchester City, with another big game coming just round the corner.
It would be his last chance to prove that he deserves the start ahead of other optipns against another former club, Liverpool, in the EFL Cup final at Wembley next weekend.
