ESPN pundit Nedum Onuoha has shared why he’s worried about the injuries that are creeping into the game of Chelsea’s Reece James.
Chelsea returned to action earlier this week with victory against Bournemouth, but it came at the cost of losing James to yet another injury.
The 22-year-old defender has been sidelined in the past couple of months with a knee problem, so everyone feared the worst when he suffered a knee injury against Bournemouth.
It’s been confirmed the English right-back could miss the next month after a scan on his knee.

Nedum Onuoha worried about Reece James
Onuoha has explained his fears about James when it comes to injuries and fitness.
He’s a massive admirer of Chelsea’s all-action wing-back, who he still feels has more levels in his game to reach.
“I just worry if he continues to have these sorts of injuries, especially in and around the knee, that in two/three years time it starts to effect the way he plays physically,” Onuoha told ESPN.
“For me, he is one of the best right-backs in the world when he’s fully fit. I hope he gets the chance to do that to have a long run of health because we’ve not seen him reach his potential.
“He’s an exceptionally talented player and Chelsea missing him is as big as any player that they could miss.”

Chelsea fans feel the exact same concern about James as Onuoha.
In our view, he’s right at the top when it comes to the most important player in Graham Potter’s squad. It’s blatantly obvious the Blues are a far stronger XI with him in it.
It’s clear you’re doing a lot right as a Chelsea player when club legend Didier Drogba says he would have loved to play alongside you.
