Chelsea youngster Andrey Santos has shared that Newcastle United’s Bruno Guimaraes is one of his footballing idols right now.
Andrey Santos, who’s only 19, is one of numerous talents for the future on Chelsea’s books.
The Brazilian teenage midfielder was recalled earlier this month from a loan spell at Nottingham Forest, so let’s hope he can enjoy a much more productive second half of the season.
There’s many Blues supporters that would love to see the club sign some more experience to blend with the very young squad at Stamford Bridge. For example, 26-year-old Newcastle star Bruno Guimaraes has been linked with Chelsea very recently.
Sport recently claimed that Chelsea and Liverpool are the teams most interested in signing Newcastle ace Guimaraes. Also, Newcastle’s central midfielder has a release clause worth around €115m (£99m) and is expected to leave them in the summer.

Chelsea’s Santos has named three fellow Brazilians as the players he looks up to in the game, including Newcastle’s talisman.
He told AS: “My idol has always been Casemiro. Now I follow Rodrigo (Rodri) a lot because he is phenomenal. My idols are Rodri, Casemiro and Bruno Guimaraes. I really like Bruno because of his personality, because of the way he plays. I admire him a lot.”

We’ll have to wait and see if Chelsea speculation towards Guimaraes intensifies, but there’s no doubting the deep-lying midfielder would be a statement signing for any club in Europe.
The biggest obstacle for the Blues is that they’ve already reshaped their midfield in the last couple of windows by signing both Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo.
We’d like see the Fernandez-Caicedo pivot in the centre of the park get much more time together before the club splashes another fortune on a midfield signing.
For Chelsea, the next big signing has to be at the top end of the pitch in search of a 20-goal striker.
