Shaka Hislop has told Christian Pulisic he needs to get out of Chelsea this summer if Newcastle United come knocking.
Christian Pulisic, 24, is frequently linked now in the transfer rumour mill with a move away from Stamford Bridge.
ESPN recently claimed that Chelsea are prepared to sell Pulisic for £20million this summer and new manager Mauricio Pochettino won’t stand in the club’s way. They add that Newcastle, Manchester United, Napoli, AC Milan and Galatasaray have all been made aware of the player’s likely fee and salary, too.
So will the United States international join a Premier League rival, or is he set to move overseas for a fresh challenge?

ESPN pundit Hislop suggests Pulisic would be a great fit for Newcastle and needs to exit Chelsea in the transfer window.
“I think he’d get the management he needs at Newcastle United,” Hislop told ESPN.
“Listen, if Newcastle come in for Christian Pulisic, if I have anything to do with advising him, I’m telling him take it. Let’s remember Christian Pulisic has struggled to establish himself in a team that just finished 12th in the league. And given his stop-start and inconsistencies in English football – even dating back to his latter [Borussia] Dortmund days – right now, to get a team finishing in the top-four, top-half of the Premier League, I can’t think of any other.
“… Eddie Howe likes utilising that pace. I would have him. I think he fits how Eddie Howe likes to play. He does not bring the kind of ego and will allow himself to be coached, to learn under Eddie Howe.”

We think Pulisic needs to move on for a fresh challenge next season, which seems to be a popular opinion within the Chelsea fanbase as well.
The winger looks a shadow of the player he was when he first joined from Borussia Dortmund in 2019, so a new club with fresh ideas should be a big help.
Our guess is that he’ll get back on track with regular starts and a manager that puts their arm around him.
