Barcelona man Joao Felix has now claimed that he is really enjoying life at his new side after leaving Chelsea this summer.

He told Fabrizio Romano that he is enjoying life on loan with the La Liga champions, after making his first starts in both the league and Europe for them in recent days.

Felix took the headlines again last night as Barcelona picked up a big win in their opening Champions League game against Antwerp.

He scored the first and last goal in a 5-0 win, leaving Chelsea fans to flock to social media to question why he wasn’t doing it at Stamford Bridge this season instead.

It seemed as if the Portugal international was keen on remaining in West London for either another loan spell or on a permanent basis. His time here was during a real low point for the club.

However, it soon emerged that Mauricio Pochettino was not keen on the deal, and therefore the player had to change his intentions.

He made it clear it was his dream to play for Barcelona, and the out-of-favour Atletico Madrid player at the time was granted a loan move.

He has now claimed he is really enjoying life at the Nou Camp.

He said: “I’m very happy. I’m enjoying it here! My teammates help me a lot and I’m here to help them to bring joy to our fans & to the club.”

The 23-year-old took a big pay cut to join the Catalan club, although if it gets his career back on track the way it looks like it is going to it could certainly be worth it.
