TalkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara has questioned whether Kai Havertz is good enough to play for Chelsea.
The German featured in a completely new-look frontline for the Blues against West Ham, as they enter a new era following the January transfer window.
He played alongside Joao Felix, Noni Madueke and Mykhailo Mudryk, who all joined the club last month.

Some of the quality brought in. particularly Felix and club-record addition Enzo Fernandez, was on show as Chelsea showed in stages that they were beginning to look like a stronger unit.
Havertz not the guy
O’Hara was critical of Havertz though, claiming he does not have the quality thar matched some of those who have come in.
He said: “Chelsea have a lot of players, it’s gonna take a lot of time for them to gel. I looked at the team, and the first 20 minutes of that game at the weekend against West Ham, Chelsea were awesome. They dominated possession, but they still lack a striker. They still need someone that’s gonna get them 25 goals a season. Havertz isn’t the guy.

“I look at Mudryk, Joao Felix who looks excellent, Enzo Fernandez looked different class, but you need a top striker who’s gonna put the ball in the net. West Ham in the end were just comfortable with Chelsea playing it around in front of them.”
There have been thoughts among some supporters the David Datro Fofana, a striker who arrived with little fanfare in the winter should be handed an opportunity from the start, following his cameo appearance against Fulham.
Nevertheless, there will likely still be a need to add a frontman at the end of the season, although they may hope they are addressing the issue with imminent arrival of Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig.
