TalkSPORT pundit Hugh Woozencroft believes Chelsea signing Frenkie de Jong would be a big addition for the club.
The Dutchman has been at the centre of one of the biggest transfer sagas in recent memory, with Barcelona adamant that he has to leave the club.
Despite his quality, his current weekly wage, as well as money owed to him by the club, are apparently restricting them from registering any of their new signings.

Manchester United have been notably keen on signing the 25-year-old, with them agreeing a fee over the signing already with Barcelona.
However, De Jong has made it clear that he doesn’t want to play for the Red Devils, with them missing out on Champions League football last season.
Chelsea encouraged to sign De Jong
Woozencroft has encouraged Chelsea to capitalise on the situation, claiming he has the skills to complement the club’s other options.
He said: “It would be big for them. Someone who can help out in their midfield area. Someone’s whose similar in their style of play to Kovacic. Jorginho – I know a lot of Chelsea fans aren’t big on, but he’s been a quality player. And you’ve got N’golo Kante as well. I think that as midfield four, that’s not too bad.

“Of course, as Manchester United found out they will still have some work to do to get that deal done.”
While Chelsea’s midfield options are also added to by the returning Conor Gallagher, who will be looking to prove his worth to Thomas Tuchel as a player who can compete for minutes this season.
However, it is unlikely a situation to sign a player of De Jong’s quality as easily as this in the coming years, and should look to the uncertain futures of current midfielders Jorginho and N’golo Kante as reasons to make the signing this summer.
