This season has not been the easiest for Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Chelsea are currently 10th in the Premier League and were beaten 1-0 by Middlesbrough in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final tie Tuesday night.
Despite Mauricio Pochettino‘s struggles in the dugout in the current campaign, Cole Palmer has still praised his boss in an interview with Sky Sports.
Palmer is having a great season at Stamford Bridge, though he was partly responsible for the Blues’ recent loss to Middlesbrough, missing a couple of great chances, drawing criticism as a result.
In the Premier League, he has scored eight goals and provided four assists in 16 outings.
Cole Palmer praises Mauricio Pochettino’s man-management
Palmer has been impressed with how Pochettino has dealt with not just the Chelsea players, but all of the staff at the club.
On the Argentine, he said: “I’ve noticed about him that with everyone he’s the same, the cooks, the physios, us [the players].
“He asks you questions and he’s genuinely interested. It’s brilliant.”

Mauricio Pochettino’s man-management not enough
In terms of managing his squad, Pochettino is doing quite a good job. It is obviously a large roster, but there have not been too many complaints from those in it who are not starting every week.
The former Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur boss is obviously going to be judged on more than that, though.
How Chelsea perform on the pitch is the main thing Pochettino is going to be assessed on and when it comes to the Premier League, he is failing there.
Of course, the Blues have had so many injuries this season, so that has to be taken into account. But even with all of their absentees, they still have a squad that is good enough to be above 10th.
