Jermaine Jenas claims Chelsea fans inside Stamford Bridge were quieter than ever against Arsenal.
There wasn’t much for the Blues fanbase to enjoy about their team’s performance on Sunday afternoon, losing 1-0 at home to Arsenal in the Premier League showdown.
Graham Potter’s side have dropped to seventh in the league table after the weekend’s results, which is why they may face a huge uphill struggle to get into the top four this season.
Chelsea’s trip to Newcastle United next weekend looks even more important now given it’s their final league contest before the World Cup break.

Chelsea fans against Arsenal
BT Sport’s Jenas, who was on co-commentary for Chelsea against Arsenal, did have a little dig at the home support at the Bridge.
He says the atmosphere from the Blues supporters was at an all-time low.
“I’ve never heard Stamford Bridge so quiet. They really have a reason to sing those Arsenal fans,” Jenas told BT Sport 1 (1:30pm, 6 November).
Chelsea had one shot on target all match and looked very short of ideas going forward, so you can understand the muted silence in the crowds.
In fairness, the Blues support did try rally the team for a final push. Arsenal did well to see out the game, though, and return to the top of the league table.

Darren Bent ripped into Chelsea’s performance on the weekend, which wasn’t good enough to get something from the league leaders.
There has to be a realisation this is a squad building under a new manager that is dealing with several key injuries.
However, it’s such a disappointment that Potter’s men couldn’t do more as an attacking force and give their supporters more to be excited about with intent.
