Tony Cascarino says he’s never seen a centre-back with as much composure as Chelsea and Brazil star Thiago Silva.
Silva, who’s captaining Brazil at the World Cup, is having an impressive international tournament so far in Qatar.
The 38-year-old defender is showing with the pre-tournament favourites the kind of form Chelsea fans are used to seeing all the time from him at Stamford Bridge.

Thiago Silva composure
TalkSPORT pundit Tony Cascarino made an interesting comment on Monday about the Chelsea star’s calmness, suggesting he’s really unique as a centre-back.
When discussing Silva, Cascarino told talkSPORT: “I’ve never seen a centre-half so composed.”
If you watch Silva, he rarely looks flustered at any point.
Many would expect attackers to really threaten him with severe pace and movement, but his defensive brain usually allows him to nullify any kind of threat.

The fact Silva can shine at the World Cup well into his mid-thirties proves what an incredible professional he is.
He’s definitely unique when it comes down to composure at the back because he seems to play at his own pace.
Chelsea’s backline looks significantly stronger when Silva starts and he so often bails his own team out of trouble with his instinctive defending.
There’s some fantastic ball-playing centre-halves in the modern game with incredible technique, but Silva has been playing like this this for well over a decade now.
