Chelsea are set to face Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday in what will be a feisty encounter, with the chance to go one point behind the Reds in the table.

It’ll be interesting to see exactly how Enzo Maresca changes things to face a Liverpool side that has been pretty ruthless since Arne Slot took charge.

Maresca has claimed that he’ll head to Anfield playing the same football that has brought Chelsea success so far this season, but we are sure there will be a number of tweaks.

Chelsea can take confidence from the fact that Liverpool have already been beaten at Anfield, as Nottingham Forest got the better of them.

Jamie Carragher will no doubt be the man in the gantry commentating on the game, and ahead of it he’s been talking about one Chelsea player he would love at Liverpool.

Jamie Carragher says Liverpool would win the league with one Chelsea player

Chelsea have seen massive improvements from a number of stars this season, including Cole Palmer, Jadon Sancho, Noni Madueke, Marc Cucurella and Nicolas Jackson.

Maresca is going to need Palmer to be on top form to unlock the Liverpool defence and build on his six goals and five assists already this season.

Interestingly, Carragher has been speaking ahead of the game and picked out one Chelsea player that he believes would be the difference for Liverpool when it comes to winning the title.

Speaking in the Telegraph, Carragher said Palmer is the man that Arne Slot could really make use of.

“If Palmer was at Liverpool, Arne Slot would be more likely to finish his debut season as a title winner. Palmer is that good, currently averaging more goal involvements per match than Stamford Bridge greats like Didier Drogba and Diego Costa.”

Cole Palmer’s massive influence at Chelsea so far this season

Cole Palmer picked up the England Men’s Player of the Year award, becoming only the second Chelsea player to do so alongside Ashley Cole.

It’s still mind-boggling to think that Manchester City allowed him to leave for around £45 million, which is nothing in this day and age for a player of Palmer’s quality.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall even predicted that Cole Palmer will break the internet this season for Chelsea, and he’s already arguably gone and done that with his four-goal display recently.

Of course, a move to Liverpool looks extremely unlikely as he’s tied into a contract until 2033, but they can hope and watch from a far.
