Goalkeeper Robert Sanchez has clearly not impressed Jason Cundy with his performances for Chelsea.
Right now, Robert Sanchez has many critics after making some big mistakes this season.
Jamie Carragher was critical of Sanchez following his role in Liverpool’s second goal against Chelsea last weekend.
Back to Cundy, though, and the former Chelsea defender now wants to see his old club raid one of their Premier League rivals for a goalkeeper.

Jason Cundy wants Chelsea to sign Caoimhin Kelleher
Caoimhin Kelleher helped Liverpool to beat Chelsea 2-1 and has become a bit of a nemesis to the Blues.
Being Liverpool’s No.2, Kelleher does not always get to play. But when the 25-year-old has, he has impressed Cundy, who wants to see him at Stamford Bridge.
“Whenever I see Kelleher play he looks top drawer,” Cundy said on talkSPORT.
He later went on to add: “If you’re a Liverpool fan, I know you’ve got [Giorgi] Mamardashvili coming in, but you don’t want Kelleher to go either. He’s too good to be a number two. I want Kelleher [at Chelsea].”
Chelsea signed a new first-team goalkeeper in the summer, Filip Jorgensen. He has been second choice behind Sanchez this season, but Jorgensen is set to start against Panathinaikos later.
Robert Sanchez deserves a bit more time
Sanchez has not been flawless. You only have to look back at the Liverpool game to know that.
However, the Spaniard has still put in some very good performances under Enzo Maresca. He actually has a save percentage of 80% in the Premier League, according to FBref, putting him in the top five goalkeepers for that statistic.
Simply put, Sanchez is a top shot-stopper and has probably earned a bit more time. Where his problem lies is with distribution. If he can improve there, then there will be no need for Chelsea to sign Kelleher or another goalkeeper.
Having just signed Jorgensen and Mike Penders, who remains at Genk for the time being, Chelsea bringing in another goalkeeper seems unlikely.
It means Cundy and Blues supporters will have to get used to Sanchez, unless Jorgensen can eventually oust the Spain international out of the team. He will have a point to prove against Newcastle United on Sunday amid this fresh wave of criticism.
