Jason Cundy was left blown away by one Chelsea player during Sunday’s match against Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea collected an important three points in the Premier League by beating Newcastle 2-1 at home.
Nicolas Jackson put the Blues in front before Alexander Isak’s equaliser for the visitors before half-time. However, Chelsea talisman Cole Palmer scored the winner early in the second period with his seventh league goal of the season.
Palmer, 22, pulled the strings for his side from the central No 10 position. His pre-assist with a stunning through ball helped create Jackson’s opener, plus he got on the scoresheet himself with the winner.
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe flagged Palmer’s threat pre-match, but the visitors never really got to grips with him this weekend.

Jason Cundy amazed by Cole Palmer pass
Jason Cundy, who was on co-commentary for Chelsea vs Newcastle on Chelsea’s official app, was left stunned by Palmer’s contribution to the opening goal of Sunday’s match.
As well as scoring himself, the England star produced a sublime pass in the build up to the opener. His long-range pass sliced through the Newcastle defence to play Pedro Neto into the channel, whose pass across goal was then converted by Jackson.
Cundy said (2:18pm, 27 October): “It’s unreal. This is how you rip a team apart. It’s the pass from Palmer… This could be pass of the season. That is outrageous… It’s a pass that absolutely devastates the backline.”
