It looks as if Chelsea are closing in on what could be their biggest first team addition of the summer.
Reports have stated that they are close to having a package accepted for Samu Omorodion to join from Atletico Madrid.
It looks as if the deal will go through if the Spanish side complete a deal for Julian Alvarez, who was mentioned as a target for the Blues earlier this summer.

Jeff Stelling not convinced by Omorodion Chelsea move
Supporters have not been too convinced by Omorodion joining the club, with them citing that a promising but still raw striker coming in is really what they need at this stage of the project.
One pundit who seems to agree is Jeff Stelling. He asked the question on TalkSPORT (7:40am 06/08/24) as to whether that he is what they need to improve at this stage.
He said: “Samu, he was on loan last season. He can’t get into the Atletico side, he was out on loan at Alaves last season. He is 20. Is that what Chelsea need? Don’t they need somebody with a bit more experience in the front line?”
It still looks as if Nicolas Jackson is going to start the season as the number one option up top, with him enjoying a really promising first campaign in English football.
Marc Guiu could now be on the move
The Senegal international is yet to play a minute during pre-season due to injury, however he is set for minutes as soon as tonight’s game against Real Madrid.
One person who could well fall victim of the move is Marc Guiu, who had impressed many in his pre-season campaign so far.
Another first team striker coming in looks as if it could seriously limit his chance at minutes this season, and could open up the opportunity for him to move on loan. The next few days look as if they are going to be key to see what Chelsea’s striking options look like for next season.
