Chelsea saw strong performances across the board as they picked up a 1-0 win over Everton at Stamford Bridge.
There was a return to the starting side for Romeo Lavia for the first time in over three months, with Chelsea fans giving Lavia a standing ovation as he was replaced for Reece James.
The game saw Nicolas Jackson returning to goalscoring ways for the first time in 2025, striking from distance in the first half to give the Blues a lead they refused to surrender.
The goal came after Chelsea won the ball straight back in the midfield area, with it being Trevoh Chalobah who picked the pocket of Beto, setting them on their way to the only goal of the game.

The Cobham graduate scored highly in our player ratings for the Everton win, as he partnered Levi Colwill in defence ahead of Tosin Adarabioyo.
Joe Cole was full of praise not only for Chalobah’s performance, but for the levels he has set since returning from being sent on loan by Chelsea at the start of the season.
He said during commentary for TNT Sports: “He’s been impressive since he walked back in the door. The central defensive position for Chelsea, I think about the players we’ve let out the door, Marc Guehi, Chalobah, Tomori, and the amount of money spent on replacements, the Badiashiles, Fofanas, the Koulibalys of this world, you wonder how that’s gonna play out over the past two years.
“You wonder how that’s going to play out, because I still think Trevoh Chalobah’s our best central defender, and he’s getting better and better. He understands the club, it was a crime to let him leave. He’s been brilliant today. He’s improving constantly.”

Trevoh Chalobah’s Chelsea future
It was pretty clear that Chelsea were keen to sell Chalobah before this season began. They even left him off the pre-season tour of the United States.
Despite impressing since returning to Stamford Bridge, there has been no indication that the club’s stance has changed on the defender’s future at the club.
It has even been reported that Chelsea could include Chalobah in a deal for Marc Guehi, who remains one of the top targets as far as they are concerned for the upcoming summer transfer window.
