John Terry full of praise for Callum MacFarlane ahead of Chelsea vs Man City
Someone he has worked alongside the academy is John Terry, with the club legend having experience working alongside him this season.
Terry has shared how impressed he has been working with McFarlane, encouraging Chelsea fans to get behind the coach ahead of their trip to the Etihad.
He said on his TikTok: “Callum joins the first team, and is taking the team at the weekend. Now, I’ve worked with Callum for the last six months, and I’ve said this previously to many people. I’ve been really impressed with Cal since he came in the building, and wish him and the team nothing but good luck at the weekend.
“He’s a really, really good coach. Understandably, it’s a different level completely, coaching at the U21s, but he’s more than capable of holding the dressing room.
“His sessions are first class, and yes he hasn’t had time to do anything or implement his style because he’s gone in for two days, but I’ve been very impressed with him and expect the Chelsea fans to get right behind him and the players this weekend.”

Reports stated that the Blues could have offered Rosenior the job as early as Saturday night, after he took charge of Strasbourg’s 1-1 draw against Nice.
There will certainly be Chelsea fans fearing the worst after what happened with Graham Potter in charge, with the promising young manager finding the job too big to handle.
The decision to sack Maresca has not gone down well, and it remains to be seen whether the club can get supporters back onside with plenty still to fight for this season.
