Chelsea have a plethora of talent coming through their academy, however club legend John Terry has tipped one of them to break into the first team setup.
Terry has been working with the academy over the last few years, getting an up close and personal viewing of some of the players being developed by the club.
There have been opportunities for youngsters throughout Enzo Maresca’s tenure at Stamford Bridge. Last season saw both Josh Acheampong and Tyrique George promoted to the first team setup, where they remain now.
The likes of Shumaira Mheuka, Reggie Walsh and Genesis Antwi have all made their debuts for the first team since the Italian took over as manager.

John Terry tips Chelsea youngster to break into first team
One of the players who has been a regular in the youth sides is Landon Emenalo, who despite being only 17 years of age has been with the club for eight years.
The American is now a regular in Premier League 2, and he is being tipped for great things by a man who certainly knows a thing or two about what it takes to make it at the top.
Terry told Whatnot that he believes Emenalo will break through from the academy, stating he thinks he has a ‘big future’.
He said: “Landon Emenalo. His dad used to work at Chelsea. Landon is a very good footballer. I think he plays for the first team and comes through. He currently plays left-back, he’s not a left-back, he can play left centre-half, he prefers to play in midfield as a six. A big future, a really good player.”
His father is Michael Emenalo, who was director of football at Chelsea between 2011-2017.

Chelsea cannot ignore another John Terry warning
Praise from Terry should be taken seriously, especially after the warning he gave the club just over 12 months ago about another youngster.
Terry said it was a mistake to let Rio Ngumoha leave, with him now making regular appearances for Liverpool in their first team squad.
The Blues may get a small payout via a tribunal for the player, however it looks like it will be nothing in comparison to how much he can achieve in the game.
