John Terry thinks Chelsea have just let a ‘top, top player’ leave the club

Chelsea oversaw a vast number of signings and sales as part of what turned out to be a very busy summer transfer window.

The Blues were working all the way until the deadline last Friday, however were not able to get the signing of Victor Osimhen over the line.

They were able to authorise a number of departures in the closing hours though, with Raheem Sterling and Trevoh Chalobah leaving for fellow Premier League sides on loan.

With the magnitude of players that have left the club, it is almost certain some will go on to prove to the Blues that they made the wrong decision moving them on over the summer.

One name that may not immediately spring to mind in this camp is Rio Ngumoha, with him leaving on a free to join Liverpool.

John Terry raves about Rio Ngumoha

The Reds are confident they have signed a superstar in Ngumoha, and many who have a knowledge of his time with the academy at Cobham are concerned this may be the case.

One person who will have a strong knowledge of that is John Terry, after his work with the youth sides at the club.

He commented on Fabrizio Romano’s Instagram post: “This boy is and will be a top, top player.”

It was claimed Ngumoha didn’t see a path to first team football at Stamford Bridge, which was a big reason behind the fact that he did not commit his future to Chelsea.

Chelsea waiting to add Kendry Paez and Estevao Willian

Chelsea chiefs will point to the conveyer belt of talent coming into the club in the coming years.

The Blues are set to add Kendry Paez and Estevao Willian to their ranks next summer, with them both impressing greatly with their current clubs.

The latter seems to have made a big enough statement in Brazil to be named in the senior side for the current international break, with there being a real chance he makes his debut in the next few days.
