Chelsea have been linked with Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar in this transfer window, although a journalist close to the Serie A club has cast doubt on those rumours.
The Blues will have a new-look goalkeeping department going into next season after Filip Jorgensen’s demands to leave the club this summer.
It remains to be seen whether Mike Penders is given the chance to compete for the number one jersey after spending a season on loan at Strasbourg.

Journalist doesn’t believe Chelsea’s £45m bid for Mile Svilar
There may be a desire to bring a completely new option to the club alongside Xabi Alonso, likely focusing on someone who is comfortable with the ball at their feet.
Roma shot-stopper Mile Svilar fits that bill, and reports had linked the Blues with a big-money move amid the Serie A club’s own financial woes.
It was even claimed that Chelsea had seen a £45m bid rejected for his services, however journalist Alfredo Pedulla has stated that there is no truth in those rumours.

He said on his YouTube channel: “There’s one thing I’d like to clarify, especially regarding Roma.
Every day a different Roma player is supposedly going to Inter.
“Honestly, we’re up to four or five names now. One day it’s one player, the next day another. First it was Mancini, then Ndicka, then Svilar. As for Svilar, I’ve been told there hasn’t even been a €50 million offer from Chelsea.”
Chelsea do have Robert Sanchez in the squad after an improved 2025/26 season, although there are no guarantees he will remain going into the upcoming campaign.
Future is unclear for Robert Sanchez
Sanchez has been linked with a move away from Chelsea after not being determined as one of the club’s untouchables.
There are also doubts over whether the Spaniard will fit in with the style of play which Alonso loves to play, which largely revolves around playing out from the back.
The best Sanchez has played for Chelsea has been during the time under Enzo Maresca where he was allowed to abandon playing out under pressure, where the amount of errors drastically depleted.
With Sanchez not in the Spain squad, the incoming manager will be able to take a look at him early on to see whether he feels he will fit into what he wants to do at Stamford Bridge.
