Journalist Nizaar Kinsella revealed that Chelsea’s Ben Chilwell waited for Mykhailo Mudryk at full-time to walk off the pitch with him yesterday.
Kinsella tweeted that the full-back stayed until after the 22-year-old had visited his travelling away support to leave the field with him after England’s 2-0 win over Ukraine.
A lot of the away side’s hopes in launching attacks relied on the Chelsea winger, with him still lacking minutes since making the move to Stamford Bridge.

This pressure seemed to become too much for Mudryk, as he failed to impress or have any real impact on the game before being replaced on the hour mark.
Chilwell meanwhile enjoyed far better fortunes in his first appearance for his country in over a year.
The left-back completed a strong 90 minutes for Gareth Southgate’s side. Touch wood, he is beginning to put his injury woes behind him and look like he can feature every game.
Chilwell left pitch with Mudryk
His attacking threat was strong, especially with former teammate James Maddison looking to cut inside whenever he had the chance. However, his defensive capabilities were notably strong in what ended up a routine victory for the Three Lions.
While he enjoyed his afternoon, his club teammate, Mudryk, will not have been as impressed. This may explain why Kinsella has claimed that he stuck around after the game to speak with the Ukrainian as they left the field.
He said: “Chilwell waited for Mudryk and then left the pitch with him after he went to the away fans.”

With starts not coming easy since the winger made his big move in January, confidence will likely be at a low at this moment.
This is despite impressing in his only recent start against Leicester City, where he slotted into the frontline seamlessly.
However, he is likely to be on the bench again when the Blues return to Premier League action against Aston Villa at the weekend.
