Despite his career taking a turn for the better since leaving Chelsea, very few are particularly disappointed Kai Havertz has left the club.

The Blues are in a far better position right now as far as attackers go, highlighted by the brilliance of Cole Palmer that is delivered on a regular basis.

No matter what Havertz goes on to achieve for Arsenal, it will be difficult for him to personally top his best moment in a Chelsea shirt.

Havertz would rather win Champions League with Arsenal than Chelsea

The German scored the winner in the Champions League final in 2021, when the Blues beat Manchester City after a sensational run to the end.

Havertz has stated that although it is a nice moment for him, it would mean more to win the competition with Arsenal than it did to win it for Chelsea.

He said to Metro: “It was a good moment for me in my career and something that I’m always going to think about. It’s a nice feeling but it would be even nicer if I can do it with Arsenal and it would mean a lot more.

“If players ask me about it I tell them, but I think it’s just something new now. We have lots of players already that have played in the competition and now it’s a new competition with more games.

“I help where I can but it was three or four years ago that I won it, so a long time ago, so I think I have to prove myself again in the dressing room.”

Havertz found the net against Chelsea last season, and he was not afraid to celebrate as a result of the criticism he has received from Blues fans since he left the club.

Jadon Sancho settling well at Chelsea

The squad looks completely different from what it did when they last won the Champions League, with some of their most crucial players back then seeing their importance drop off rapidly.

This has been most notable with Mason Mount, who has not been able to hit the ground running since he joined Manchester United.

This pales in comparison to how Jadon Sancho has started life as a Chelsea player since his move on deadline day.
