While Chelsea will be busy in the upcoming summer transfer window, they already have the buffer of already securing a number of top signings before it even opens.

Estevao Willian will join up with the Blues after the Club World Cup, and is expected to remain part of Enzo Maresca’s first team squad for next season.

Dario Essugo will also join the club and be part of the first team squad, with the idea being to provide cover for Moises Caicedo after he has had to play near enough every game this season.

Another young talent whose deal will be made official at the end of this season is Kendry Paez, who has already made a real scene on the international stage in South America.

Paez broke Pele’s record for being the youngest player to register an assist for his country in South America, and his international teammates are already well aware of his talents.

Chelsea youngster Kendry Paez trains with Strasbourg

Caicedo described Paez as ‘incredible’, and will no doubt be one of those looking forward to playing alongside the youngster at Stamford Bridge in the future.

Chelsea previously requested for Paez to leave his club early in order to have the opportunity to acclimatise to European football before he makes his debut for the club.

It looks as if the Blues have made the most of having sister side Strasbourg at their disposal. According to L’Equipe, Paez has been training with the Ligue 1 side lately to prepare for what will be a big summer for him.

The report goes on to say that a loan move to Liam Rosenior’s side is also on the table should it be classed as the best option for him.

Chelsea undecided on Paez

Paez has already trained with the first team at Chelsea as Maresca and co get used to the talent they have added to their ranks.

However, it has been claimed that all options are open for the 25/26 season, including him playing on loan at another club.

If this is the option chosen, there is no better option than Strasbourg based on the impressive growth of some Chelsea players there this season.

Djordje Petrovic and Andrey Santos are in serious contention to be in for regular minutes at Stamford Brudge next season after their brilliant campaigns in France.
