There’s several key figures at Chelsea that reportedly believe their player is about to play a much bigger role on the pitch in the upcoming set of fixtures.
It’s a luxury to have so much competition for places this season at Stamford Bridge with a talented Chelsea squad, but that does mean certain individuals are still waiting to show their best form.
The Blues have a pretty settled team at the moment in the Premier League, while there’s regularly wholesale changes in the domestic and European cup fixtures.
Speaking via talkSPORT earlier this month, Darren Ambrose claimed Chelsea’s “fantastic squad” can finish in the top four.

Pedro Neto tipped for bigger role
According to GiveMeSport, Chelsea’s Pedro Neto is expected to come into the starting line-up on Thursday evening during the Conference League group stage match away to Panathinaikos.
It is explained that the 24-year-old winger is giving Blues manager Enzo Maresca a selection headache because of his positive impact off the bench recently.
The report states that ‘key personnel’ behind the scenes at Chelsea are confident Neto is going to play a more prominent role in the club’s upcoming games if he impresses versus Panathinaikos. As a result, Blues wingers Jadon Sancho and Noni Madueke could be in danger of dropping down to the bench in the Premier League.
Time to justify £54m price tag
Neto has been unable to build any momentum in the opening months of his Chelsea career, largely because he’s been in and out of the starting line-up.
He must be frustrated that he’s not started a league game since mid-September, but Sancho and Madueke deserve credit for cementing their spot on the wings.
If Neto can do the business against Panathinaikos on Thursday, he’ll help his case to play more minutes.
We’re yet to see why Chelsea paid £54m (Sky Sports) to sign talented attacker Neto from Wolves in the summer, but we’re still confident he can justify that price tag.
Speaking via talkSPORT back in August, Tony Cascarino hailed Neto as a “fabulous talent” that can be a big player for Chelsea.
