Raheem Sterling is the one Chelsea player standing out above his teammates right now as an attacking threat.
That is according to BBC pundit Chris Sutton.
Raheem Sterling, who’s now 28, is looking a lot more like the best version of himself during his second season at Chelsea.
The £50million winger (Daily Mail) may have been overlooked by England for the October international break, but that’s not a fair reflection on how he’s performed in the opening two months of the 2023/24 campaign.

The in-form Chelsea player
Sterling ripped through Burnley in Chelsea’s 4-1 win before the international break, scoring one and assisting another to cap off a fantastic individual display.
The English attacker looks fast and direct this season. We’ve certainly got to give credit to Blues head coach Mauricio Pochettino for his influence in such a short space of time.
Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League fixture at home to Arsenal this Saturday, BBC pundit Chris Sutton named Sterling as the chief threat for the Blues right now.
“Chelsea have just started to string a bit of form together and Raheem Sterling in particular is looking dangerous,” Sutton told BBC Sport.

Raheem Sterling appreciation
If Chelsea are to pull off a surprise result at home to Arsenal this weekend, our guess is Sterling will be central to any success the team has.
The former Manchester City and Liverpool forward is more than capable of tormenting any defence in the Premier League. He’s done it for almost a decade now across various top sides.
He’s now had a two-week break to recharge his batteries and work at Cobham, so we’re expecting a red-hot Sterling to come firing out of the gates in this next set of fixtures.
Speaking via LiveScore this week, Glen Johnson stated Sterling is “too good” not to be in England’s squad right now. A statement performance against high-flyers Arsenal tomorrow evening will only reiterate that point further.
Afterwards, there’s league games against Brentford, Tottenham and Manchester City before November’s international break. Sterling’s got the perfect set of games to send a serious message to England manager Gareth Southgate.
