There’s plenty of Chelsea supporters on social media that are desperate to see one of their summer signings start for the first time this weekend.

Chelsea return after the international break with a trip to Bournemouth on Saturday night in the Premier League.

Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher are backing Chelsea to beat Bournemouth, which has been the trend in the recent meetings between the clubs. The Blues have won three of the previous four matches with their weekend opponents.

Interestingly, the Cherries sit higher in the league table during the opening few weeks of the new season.

Chelsea fans desperate for Jadon Sancho to start

A selection of Chelsea fans online really want Jadon Sancho to make his club debut for them at the weekend.

The 24-year-old winger joined from Manchester United on a season-long loan with an obligation to buy in the last moments of the summer transfer window. Hopefully, the Englishman can rediscover his best form after a difficult few years in Manchester.

Here are some Blues supporters on X calling for head coach Enzo Maresca to include Sancho in the starting line-up versus Bournemouth…

One fan said: “I think Jadon Sancho should start against Bournemouth. He has been training for two weeks.”

Another wrote: “I just want Sancho to start and to get off with a goal.”

One supporter posted: “Yeah, I would [start Sancho against Bournemouth]. Been at Cobham for a week or so learning the system and a good game to start him.”

Another claimed: “I think Sancho and Madueke need to start because Bournemouth can play low block and Sancho or Madueke are very good on 1v1 situations.”

Jadon Sancho a risk worth taking

Sancho’s yet to show his best form in the Premier League, but perhaps the change of scenery will be the perfect solution for him. Let’s not forget that he was devastating in the past for German club Borussia Dortmund.

Journalist Simon Phillips reports via Substack that Sancho has been playing as a left-winger in Chelsea training during the recent international break.

We’re pretty confident the on-loan attacker can add something different for the Blues on the left wing, especially because Mykhailo Mudryk has struggled in that position.
