Marc Cucurella has started the season of as not the most popular player in the league to anyone who doesn’t support Chelsea.
The key role he played in Spain’s European Championship final victory over England will not have gone down too well, and is something the player believes is affecting him on the pitch too.
Cucurella thinks he is being unfairly treated by referees at the moment, with him already picking up five yellow cards and a suspension from just seven league games so far.

The Blues are unbeaten since the opening day of the season domestically, where they were soundly beaten against Manchester City.
Striker Erling Haaland felt as if he got some revenge on the Spaniard after a song went viral over the summer that revolved around the goalscorer.
Cole Palmer sorted out Cucurella and Haaland spat
However, Cucurella has now claimed that it has all been cleared up, thanks in part to Chelsea teammate Cole Palmer.
He said: “He took it a bit personally because of how it came out. It’s now settled because he spoke to Palmer and told him that I’m a good guy.
“Palmer told me that he was on Tik Tok and my videos came up and he thought it was a personal video against him but it could have been Mbappé or Messi.“
Cucurella and Wesley Fofana suspended
Cucurella’s suspension will keep him out of the Blues’ next league game after the international break, with the tricky test of Liverpool at Anfield to come next.
They will also be without Wesley Fofana for the same reason, with Robert Sanchez hinting at frustration in the ranks at the manner of these bookings coming in.
This will provide an opportunity for Renato Veiga and Tosin Adarabioyo to prove themselves to the manager in what would certainly be the biggest matches of their career since joining Chelsea.
The likes of Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile will also be pushing to get the nod, however their starts to the season have not warranted big opportunities up to now.
