Despite his time at Chelsea ending on a sour note, Mason Mount still has immense admiration for some of those who came before him at Stamford Bridge.
Mount’s decision to leave the club and join Premier League rivals Manchester United did not go down well, and the fanbase have responded in spite whenever he has returned to West London.

Mount shushed Chelsea fans when his side were victorious at Stamford Bridge last season, adding more fuel to the fire between the two parties.
It is easy to forget how popular he was with Chelsea supporters in the past, not too dissimilar to Frank Lampard when he was playing for the Blues.

The club’s all-time top scorer was also Mount’s manager on three different occasions, both at Chelsea and Derby County.
The current United man was asked by Jolie Sharpe to name the best players in each position of all time, and he chose Lampard when it came to midfielders.

Given his goalscoring prowess from midfield, many compared Mount to the Chelsea legend in the early stages of his career.
Now though, he finds himself struggling for appearances in the United side, and a long way away from Thomas Tuchel’s England setup.
It has been an unfortunate fall off for Mount, although Chelsea fans will not be quick to offer any sympathy after leaving the club at the backend of their 2022/23 campaign.
