Chelsea youngster Mason Burstow could earn a promotion to the first-team squad this season.
That is according to a report from The Guardian.
They claim that Mason Burstow, 20, made a really positive impression during the club’s pre-season tour.
Therefore, Blues head coach Mauricio Pochettino is prepared to keep the young striker in the senior group for the new season.

Burstow scored a great header during the final match of Chelsea’s pre-season tour of the United States, which was a 1-1 draw against Borussia Dortmund.
The English centre-forward looked sharp and hungry to prove his quality in his pre-season minutes alongside the first-team stars.
Now, he may have done enough to be with the squad on a weekly basis in the new campaign.
If true, he could be an alternative option to Nicolas Jackson or Armando Broja in Chelsea’s striker position.

Burstow, who only signed for the Blues last year from Charlton Athletic, enjoyed a decent debut season at the club in the Under-21s side.
However, he’s waiting to make his competitive first-team debut for Chelsea.
It certainly sounds like that may not be too long away under Pochettino, so it’ll be interesting to see if he’s involved in the squad for this Sunday’s Premier League opener against Liverpool.
