Mauricio Pochettino now answers if he will celebrate a Chelsea goal tonight vs Tottenham

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has now said that he will not be celebrating if his side find the net tonight against Tottenham.

However, he told Sky Sports that this is more because he very rarely celebrates goals, instead looking to focus on what the moment means for the game.

The pre-match press conference that took place on Friday was very Spurs focused for Pochettino, leaving him in a tricky position when answering questions.

While staying respectful to his prior side, there are many Blues fans who will have been disappointed with his answers.

This also meant that there were very few questions regarding Chelsea going into the big London derby. Team news was at a premium from the Argentine.

Pochettino wont celebrate tonight

He couldn’t confirm that Reece James would be fit enough to start the game, and there were no questions on if Mykhailo Mudryk would be present after he missed the last game through injury.

However, the questions did reveal if Pochettino was going to be actively celebrating at the home of his former side if Chelsea scored this evening.

He said: “If you see me, I am so quiet on the touchline. Normally it is difficult for me to celebrate goals, I am more focused on the game. When you win the game you celebrate.”

Any form of result will be a positive one, as the inconsistent Blues are travelling to a side who can return to the top of the Premier League table with a win tonight.

Chelsea will be hopeful of a result as they enter an extremely difficult period of the season as far as fixtures go, where it looks like points are going to be at a premium for a few weeks’ time.
