Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has been spotted working closely with one player ahead of this weekend’s fixture against Brentford.

He was seen on the club’s 5th Stand App in close conversation with Mykhailo Mudryk, with them making a point to mention the duo working together.

The player Pochettino will be most proud of so far this season will surely be Mudryk, with him seeming to make it his mission to get the best out of him.

After a start to the season where he was mostly on the bench, it would now be a very difficult decision to drop him from the starting lineup.

His last two starts have finally seen him rewarded with goals to match the effort he has put in.

He even got the bit of luck that he has so desperately deserved during his time in West London.

While he may claim otherwise, the 22-year-old was almost certainly looking for a teammate when he put the ball over David Raya’s head against Arsenal.

It looks like he may be in line for another start tomorrow too, when the Blues host Brentford in another London derby at Stamford Bridge.

This can be backed up by Pochettino seeming to lay clear instructions on the table for the Ukraine international.

Many would argue that the team that drew against Arsenal would not need to be changed, based on the impressive performance they put in during that game.

However, it is natural that the manager will want to bring back in an actual focal point, and this may be the case with Nicolas Jackson.

In our predicted XI, this would see Raheem Sterling drop to the bench and Mudryk start on the left wing.
