Mauricio Pochettino claims Chelsea’s Carney Chukwuemeka has impressed him in training this week.
There’s a chance that the attacking midfielder may be available for selection tomorrow against Burnley, too.
Carney Chukwuemeka, who’s only 19, hasn’t played since mid-August because of a knee injury he picked up playing against West Ham.
However, there’s a possibility that the £20million playmaker (Sky Sports) could return to Chelsea’s squad for the first time this weekend when they travel to Burnley in the Premier League.

It would be great to see Chukwuemeka involved tomorrow in the final Chelsea game before another international break, even if it’s just an appearance on the substitute bench.
When asked today if Chukwuemeka is ready for a matchday squad, Pochettino said via Chelsea’s X account: “It was close last week to join us. This week has trained well, I still have not decided, I need to check with Jesus and the medical staff.”

Chukwuemeka started the opening two Premier League fixtures this campaign before his injury setback, so he’s obviously a young talent firmly in Pochettino’s plans.
He’s an offensive midfielder with a lot of flair on the ball, which is why his return will be a welcome sight.
In our view, he’ll be in the fight to start in Chelsea’s No 10 position behind a central striker. We’ve seen a mixture of Enzo Fernandez and Conor Gallagher in that role in recent weeks.
Chelsea icon Marcel Desailly described Chukwuemeka as an “artist” back in August, as quoted by Premier League Productions.
Once the Blues do get stars such as Chukwuemeka back available from a long injury list, we think there will be a different outlook on this young and talented group of players.
