Noni Madueke and Moises Caicedo could both be back from injury in time for Chelsea’s game this Sunday against Aston Villa.

That is according to a report from The Daily Mail.

The Blues injury list increased last weekend with even more first-team stars sitting out the 0-0 draw against Bournemouth.

Noni Madueke, who cost Chelsea £29million (Sky Sports), is yet to start a Premier League game this season during a very quiet start to life under Mauricio Pochettino. Meanwhile, £115million (Sky Sports) midfielder Moises Caicedo is under pressure at Stamford Bridge because of his mega price tag.

The Mail claims that Chelsea hope to have both Madueke and Caicedo ready for Sunday afternoon’s Premier League fixture at home to Villa.

It is understood that Madueke, 21, missed the Bournemouth draw with a muscle problem picked up during the international break. As for 21-year-old Caicedo, he collected a knee injury while away with his country.

Thankfully, the report explains that the duo only missed Sunday as a precaution and there’s no serious injury worries.

Can Madueke be the saviour to Chelsea’s ongoing problems in attack?

Pochettino’s side don’t look like scoring goals whenever they’re on the pitch, netting five times in their opening five league matches. The goalless draw against Bournemouth was painful for supporters to watch!

Madueke is an exciting right-winger that is fast and direct, often cutting infield to his left foot to shoot or cross. We would love to see him back into the XI if he’s fit to start against Villa.
