Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed what the plan currently is for his Chelsea players after they are finished with their game against Luton Town tomorrow.
He claimed in his pre-match press conference that there are plans to give the squad a break for a couple of days before they return to action in the FA Cup the weekend after.
Fixtures have certainly stacked up over the festive period. It feels like only five minutes ago the Blues were leaving Stamford Bridge with all three points in the London derby against Crystal Palace.

Noni Madueke’s late penalty was enough for a Blues side that very rarely got out of second gear.
Pochettino has a fresh injury concern to deal with, with Romeo Lavia reportedly picking up a problem late in the game.
The manager admitted that he was struggling to run last time out, and was therefore a doubt for tomorrow’s game against Luton.
Pochettino confirms Chelsea plan after Luton
With the issues mounting for the squad, a break of any sort would be welcome right now, as they approach a 2024 that will soon see them in semi-final action in the EFL Cup.
Pochettino has now claimed that there is a plan in place for the squad to have a couple of days off after the match.
He said: “Yes [planned days off post-Luton]. That is the plan. The plan is to win and then give one or two days off depending on the circumstances.”
The next time Chelsea will be in action after tomorrow will be their first match of 2024, and a return to FA Cup action against Preston North End.
This will traditionally be an opportunity for the Blues to utilise a number of their players who have founded appearances harder to come by, as well as a number of youth players if the opportunity arises.
